Another month has gone by and my new Cohorted box has arrived! This month’s box hinted a Chanel product which I was most excited (and impressed!) with. However, the box was supposed to include a Pixi Crayon Combo, which was not found. Cohorted had emailed saying it had to be replaced due to delivery problems. They mentioned the Pixi product would be in next month’s box, so that’s a bit of a bummer.

Dove’s True Tone underarm dark mark eraser (full size) RRP £20.00

This was the replacement for the Pixi Crayon Combo. Since Cohorted is styled as a higher-end box, I considered this more of a drugstore product. However, as I have never tried anything like an underarm eraser, I’m not too upset about it. Hopefully it will prove to be effective and justify its place in this box.

Elemis Pro Collagen Hydro-Gel Eye Mask (full size) RRP £15.00

The Elemis brand is known for its great skincare range. I have yet to try any of its products so this is great as a small introduction to the brand – exactly what subscription boxes should do! I do love a cooling and hydrating eye mask. Also, the portable packaging of these would be perfect for bringing on long-haul flights. I shall be stashing these with my travel skincare products!

Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment (full size) RRP £45.00

Bare Minerals is not a brand I am too familiar with neither. I had no idea how this night treatment worked since I’ve never tried anything like this before. After doing some research, I found that you are suppose to apply this with the brush it comes with, onto your face at night after your skincare routine. It claims to “reduce the appearance of pores, improve luminosity and deliver increased cell turnover”. At my age, I don’t have much of an issue with pore sizes (yet!) so this wasn’t too interesting for me. Also, the Medium shade was too dark for me and I just could not imagine myself wearing this to sleep. It’s like wearing foundation to bed (which I have never ever done, no matter how tired I was)!

Cargo Long Wear Lip Gloss in (full size) £10.00

I actually really enjoyed this product. The pinkish berry shade is beautiful for the winter time and isn’t too shimmery for my liking. As you can see, it appears darker in the tube than on my lips.4.pic.jpg It is also quite comfortable to wear. Although the gloss isn’t the most long lasting, it does leave a slight berry colored stain on my lips. I don’t usually like sticky lip glosses but this one may be an exception!

Marc Jacobs Lola Perfume Sample 1.2ml

Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite brands for perfume. It is always nice to get a sample to try out first before purchasing the full size due to the prices of these. I quite like this scent and might think about purchasing the full size after I finish my current perfumes.

Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear

Luminous Eyeshadow in Apparition (full size) £25.00

Now onto my favorite product of the box! I have never tried any Chanel makeup products other than its mascaras and lipsticks. I have heard many great reviews for this eyeshadow and so I was very excited for it. As expected, the texture and formula of the shadow is extremely silky smooth and long lasting. The shadow has a spongy feeling when you press on it and does stay slightly squished, quite similar to Colorpop eyeshadows.

The shade is a dark navy blue with small bits of shimmers. It also comes with a small slanted brush, which you can use for eyeshadow or even eyeliner. I am really impressed with this product and look forward to finding more products like this in Corhorted’s boxes in the future!

My verdict

Despite some product delivery issues, Cohorted’s box lived up to my expectation in its luxury product selections. Most of these products I would have never thought about purchasing on my own, so it really was great to try so many new products for only £35 (considering the total box valued to £111.50!). I do hope Cohorted can get its management in order to avoid all its mishaps in delivery issues and late shipping like what happened last month. Overall, I would recommend Cohorted for those who are looking for new luxury products to try without breaking the bank!
