Everyday Makeup for School & University

When I only have around half an hour in the early mornings to get ready and maybe grab some breakfast before heading straight to class, I often neglect makeup and end up only wearing tinted lip balm along with some eyebrows for the whole day. However, a new semester has begun for me and I have decided to put more effort into my appearance. You never know who you might meet in a new semester right?

No matter if you are in school, university or even at work; these products are fast, efficient and can get you out of your front door prepared to face the day ahead!

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light to Medium Bisque £19.jpgBobbi Brown Corrector in Light to Medium Bisque £19

After washing my face and completing my morning skincare routine, I begin by correcting my dreadful dark circles from lack of sleep due to assignments or late night Netflix – usually the latter. I like to apply the corrector using my ring finger, tapping gently around my undereye area. This corrector works great to colour correct my dark circles. I find it lasts really well and does not crease on me throughout the day.

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska £29Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska £29

For everyday makeup, I like to go light with my base. The tinted moisturizer from Nars is great as it has just enough coverage whilst being moisturizing during the cold winter days. The added SPF 30 is also a bonus since this means I can skip the SPF part in my skincare to save time and product. However, if I use this tinted moisturizer in the summer, I do like to use an extra SPF to protect my skin. I like applying this using a damp beauty blender. I find it works best with the sponge bouncing on the product to make it look just like skin but better – if you know what I mean.

The next step features this drugstore favorite concealer of many beauty gurus. I apply the concealer directly from the sponge application onto my under eye area along with areas where I have blemishes or I would like to highlight. This includes above my eyebrows, around my nose and mouth. This concealer works great in my lazy makeup days since it covers just enough for me to look healthy but not too dolled up. Although many people may consider the sponge applicator to be unhygienic, I have no issues with the applicator as it really speeds up my makeup process.

Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil in #4.jpgInnisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil in #4

This eyebrow pencil from Innisfree is my favorite for quick everyday eyebrows. It has a waxy texture that just glides onto your eyebrows. It has a slanted shape that is quite similar to the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. It also has a spooley brush at the other end which is super convenient for on-the-go. I use a medium brown colour and it matches my hair no matter if its black or brown. This is certainly one of my holy grail products of all times.

Benefit Gimme Brow Gel in Medium:Deep £18.50.jpgBenefit Gimme Brow Gel in Medium/Deep £18.50

I don’t always do this step if I’m in a hurry, but if I have the time I will like to set my brows using the brow gel from Benefit. This is my first brow gel product that I actually enjoyed using. I find the tiny spooley to be perfect shape for my brows. It really holds the shape without tinting my brows too dark unlike other brow gels I have tried.

Innisfree Skinny & Jumbo Dual Cara Mascara in Black

For everyday school makeup, I usually skip the eyeshadow and eyeliner but I always have mascara. I find it can really open up the eyes to make you look so much more awake. I love this mascara from Innisfree (again). It is duo ended with one end being extremely skinny and the other of more a volumizing brush end. I use the skinny end for every day as it just gives the most naturally long and fluttery eyelashes. It is not extremely volumizing (that’s what the other end is for!) but it is great for give some serious length. It also separates my lashes perfectly because if you know me, you know I cannot stand clumpy lashes.

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact .jpgInnisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact

To set my face, I use this powder pact from Innisfree. This brand is one of my favorite Korean brands as you see I have featured 3 of their products in here. I like to use a stippling brush to set my forehead, nose and t-zone area. I then use a smaller fluffy brush to set my undereye area. This step is key because I find that my concealer can move around if I skip this step. I find the Sigma Tapered Highlighter Brush (F35) to be the perfect shape and softness for this delicate area.

I don’t usually contour or bronze on a daily basis. So I just skip to adding blusher on the apples of my cheek. This blusher from Benefit is great for a natural flush of colour without being sparkly or overly pigmented. I love how there are a mixture of colours in the blusher to give a beautiful pink colour. I also like how it comes with a brush and I just use that to apply the blusher – simple!

DIOR Addict Lip Glow Colour Awakening Lipbalm in the original colour #1 £24.jpgDior Addict Lip Glow Colour Awakening Lipbalm in the original colour #1 £24

My lip choices changes everyday depending on my mood, so I didn’t include an actual lip colour. However, I always have this lip glow from Dior on me no matter if I am wearing makeup or not. When my lipstick of the day fades, I like to apply the lip glow since its easy and doesn’t require a mirror. It is one of those products that magically adapts to the pH levels of your lips. This means it can look different for everyone despite being the same lip balm. I always have this lippie on me for easy on-the-go lip colour when I’m just too lazy and can’t be bothered to reapply a lip colour. It is moisturising whilst giving me the perfect pink lips. I only have a bit left in this tub but I already have a back up! – that’s how much I love it. For spring Dior has released a new Lilac colour in this range so I will surely be picking that up. Maybe I will write a review comparing that one to this original one?

This is my first blog post (ever!) and so please do feel free to leave any comments or suggestions below on how you like it. I like to use a mixture of drugstore and high end, Asian and Western brands in my makeup so if there are anything you would like to hear more about do let me know! Thanks for dropping by.

    1. Yes, I find since using correctors my undereye situation has improved so much! I have been trying a cheaper ‘dupe’ for the Bobbi Brown corrector (from Pixi) and I think I found a new love! Thanks so much for commenting Jasmine. I absolutely love your blog posts and photos for inspirations – I’m basically addicted to your blog! It means so much for you to comment on my little-new blog thanks again 🙂
